Florists and flower businesses are close neighbors of garden centers, and many nurseries run a florist counter of their own. Retail florists build arrangements to order and deliver locally, floral designers work by appointment for weddings and events, flower markets and wholesalers sell loose stems and bunches, and flower farms grow seasonal blooms such as dahlias, peonies, tulips and sunflowers, sold by the bucket, by subscription or as pick-your-own. Ordering from the shop directly usually means more flowers for the money than going through a national website.

Phoenix is in Arizona, in the Southwest, where the desert climate brings very hot summers, mild sunny winters and the summer monsoon; outdoor businesses shift their hours toward early mornings and evenings in the hottest months. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Phoenix follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.
